Hello from Heidi

I am the artist, content creator, weaver, manager and essentially every role behind Brickhouse Beadworks. I travel on the road full-time with my partner, Drew, and my rescued bull terrier, Penny. I very much enjoy exploring our world and seeking new adventures that force me out of my comfort zone. I am currently focused on creating curated collections based on places and things that inspire me. I’m always looking for places and events that align with my style to share my work, if you have a lead please feel free to contact me!

Life on the road

This little school bus is Wayfinder, I labored for a year to convert her into my home-on-wheels. I lived in Wayfinder from 2022 to 2024, then I purchased and converted my Astro van, The Nautilus. This van was my ticket to Alaska, a state I had always wanted to visit. I worked seasonally in AK as a, drumroll please, van driver! I was also a site host for the forest service in Juneau and continued to bead and share my artwork. After our season in the Great North I sold the van and returned to the lower 48 where I purchased land in the Joshua tree forest of Arizona, a home base for new adventures!

Get out and explore!

I love experiencing the great outdoors, and draw much of my inspiration from our natural surroundings. I hold a special place in my heart for our National Parks as they were a big catalyst for making the jump to living nomadically.

Express yourself

Before being drawn to bead weaving, I studied commercial photography at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. I have always been a creative person and love making things with my hands. After working in the industry for a few years and transitioning to full-time travel I found myself wanting to explore other mediums. Spoiler alert, beadwork stuck and I absolutely love it! I hope to expand my repertoire in jewelry-making in the future as well.
